10 of the Best Places to Eat During Restaurant Week

In January and July, Charlotte restaurants put out a special menu for people to try and get an idea of what they offer. This is a great way to try new places, or get into those restaurants you’ve been wanting to try, but can’t justify spending the cash. Reservations for all restaurants are highly recommended. OpenTable is a great App to use, but not all restaurants use it, so make sure you check out their websites! For more information and a list of all participating restaurants, please visit https://charlotterestaurantweek.iheart.com/. Restaurant week runs from July 20-29, 2018. Here our my top 10:

1) Aria Tuscan Grill
100 N Tryon Street, Charlotte, NC 28202
(704) 376-8880
Price: $30/Person
What you get: 1 appetizer, 1 entrée, 1 dessert
Food: A+
Value: A+
Right in the heart of Uptown, Aria Tucsan Grill is a fantastic spot to go during Queen’s Feast. There are tons of options to choose from, and the restaurant week menu doesn’t look too different from the regular menu. On an average night, entrees alone are usually $20-$30. Whether it’s a first date, a birthday, or an anniversary, Aria Tuscan Grill is a great place to go this week.

2) The Pump House
575 Herrons Ferry Road, Rock Hill, SC 29730
(803) 329-8888
Price: $30/Person
What you get: 1 appetizer, 1 entrée, 1 dessert
Food: A+
Value: A+
The Pump House is the place to be this Queen’s Feast! The food is absolutely phenomenal, and they give you most of their regular menu for a great price. If you live in the city, the drive is absolutely worth it. Some of The Pump House favorites are: The Grilled Hanger Steak, and the 2-Day Brined Pork Chop. And don’t forget to top it all off with dessert! The Raspberry and Vanilla Cheesecake is a must-try!

3) Vivace
1100 Metropolitan Avenue, Charlotte, NC 28204
(704) 370-7755
Price: $35/Person
What you get: 1 appetizer, 1 entrée, 1 dessert
Food: A+
Value: A+
Voted 2018 50 Best Restaurants in Charlotte Magazine, Vivace is known for it’s fantastic brunch, but during Queens Feast, Vivace turns up the heat with its amazing dinner menu. On a regular night, Vivace can be a little pricey; the perfect spot to celebrate a special occasion, but this week, you will get most of their regular menu for only $35. The atmosphere is incredible, the service is unparalleled, and the food is impeccable.

4) Bistro La Bon
1322 Central Avenue, Charlotte, NC 28205
(704) 333-4646
Price: $35/Person
What you get: 1 appetizer, 1 entrée, 1 dessert
Food: A
Value: A
Another excellent brunch place, Bistro La Bon has a Queens Feast menu that will make your mouth water.  The menu is close to the same as their regular dinner menu, but there are a few must-try’s that are missing, like the Seafood Mac & Cheese and the Pan-seared Scottish Salmon. They still offered the Pan-seared Potato Gnocchi and the Wild Mushroom Ravioli which are both phenomenal, and don’t forget to treat yourself to the homemade sorbet sampler!

5) Del Frisco’s Double Eagle Steak House
4725 Piedmont Row Drive Ste 170, Charlotte, NC 28210
(704) 552-5502
Price: $35/Person
What you get: 1 soup or salad, 1 entrée, 1 dessert
Food: A
Value: A-
A Queens Feast favorite, Del Frisco’s offers a decent sized menu for those who have never been. The food is always amazing, but $35 will only get you the bare minimum. The entrée enhancements and substitutions are discounted, but add on to the $35 price point. Some of the must-try’s without breaking the bank are the Lobster Bisque, Crab Cakes, Filet Duo, and the Belgian Chocolate Mousse! The atmosphere and food quality are what make Del Frisco;s Double Eagle Steak House a top 10 pick.

6) On The Nines
205 Golf Course Drive, Mooresville, NC 28115
(704) 799-4240
Price: $35/Person
What you get: 1 appetizer, 1 entrée, 1 dessert
Food: A
Value: A
New to Queens Feast, On The Nines is located at Mooresville Golf Club! The food is delicious, and the menu for restaurant week is decently sized. The view is spectacular and definitely adds to the experience. The menu focuses mostly on fresh seafood, but also offers options for everyone. On The Nines is a great add to the Queens Feast. They are closed on Mondays, so make sure to make your reservations for another night!

7) CorkBuzz
4905 Ashley Park Lane Ste J, Charlotte, NC 28210
(704) 625-1328
Price: $35/Person
What you get: 1 appetizer, 1 entrée, 1 dessert
Food: A
Value: B+
The food here is unbelievable, but on a regular night you can’t leave CorkBuzz without spending a pretty penny. The menu is constantly changing, so you’ll rarely eat the same thing twice. Usually, the menu has a lot more options, but they do offer a great selection for Queens Feast. The Flatbread is a must-try, along with the Market Fish and Beef Tenderloin Filet. Of course, you can’t forget the dessert, and you can’t go wrong with any of the options. Aside from the Queens Feast menu, their wine selection is unlike any other in Charlotte. Try a flight to save some money, but enjoy a few of their best wine options!

8) Bulla Gastrobar
4310 Sharon Road Ste. W01, Charlotte, NC 28211
(704) 837-4422
Price: $30/Person
What you get: 1 appetizer, 1 entrée, 1 dessert
Food: A-
Value: B+
Also a new addition to Queens Feast, Bulla Gastrobar has a decent selction for you to choose from. They’ve added a few of the restaurants most popular items, but also a few new items. The Ceviche De Jalapeno is a great way to start your meal, and the best way to end it is with the Churros con Chocolate!

9) Chima Brazillian Steakhouse
139 S. Tryon St, Charlotte, NC 28202
(704) 601-4141
Price: $35/Person
What you get: Cheese bread, Salad Bar,  Rodizio Meat Service: Picanha (Certified Angus Beef Top Sirloin), Top Sirloin with garlic, Flank Steak, Leg of Lamb, BBQ Pork Ribs, Parmesan Pork Loin, Chicken wrapped in Bacon, Boneless Chicken, Sausage
Food: A+
Value: B-
Chima is a Queens Feast original, but the meat selection on the Queens Feast menu leaves a lot to be desired. The salad bar is unreal, and the experience is worth it, but if you’ve been to Chima before, the selection of meats is not what you’re expecting. But there’s a kicker to this! Chima offers their full menu for $49.90, which is a $6 savings from a regular night. The food is still great, regardless, but if you want to get more bang for your buck, upgrade for an extra $15!

10) Ted’s Montana Grill
7404 Waverly Walk Ave. Charlotte, NC 28277
(704) 841-7802
Price: $35/Person
What you get: 1 appetizer, 1 entrée, 1 dessert, 1 drink
Food: B+
Value: A-
For their first year in the Queens Feast, Ted’s Montana Grill is stepping up to the plate. This American original offers some really great items from their regular menu. With a smaller selection, Ted’s Montana Grill has some really great options making them a top 10! Adding a drink to their Queens Feast menu really sets them apart. The drink menu includes select beer and wines, as well as soft drinks and floats! The Bison short ribs and the Wildberry Cheesecake are must-try’s!

Feed Your Net

Ever had your eye on the prize? What if that prize was a feeling, derived from a sandwich? That’s what I get when I’m a part of Feed Your Net, a group of professionals giving back and networking for a cause. It amazes me how a simple smile, conversation, sandwich, can make someone feel brightness, on both ends. I’ve been fortunate enough to help volunteer with others who really believe in making a difference. We have made the sandwiches and spread the positivity.
I have to thank my friend Meredith, she has created a portal to provide a bigger picture through Feed Your Net. Something many don’t see everyday, something that has a lot more story behind that picture. One of these portals has been through teaming up with Charlotte Urban Ministry to help feed our neighbors through soup kitchens. They’ve help create new paths of hope and Feed Your Net wants to do the same by giving that hand, or sandwich. I had the pleasure of meeting fellow neighbors, while passing out more sandwiches and water, like Emanuel, Chuck and Milton, individuals who have different perceptions on life, who were kind and thankful. I can’t wait to embark on another new experience and meet new friends/neighbors.
Everyone goes through something, and everyone needs a hand at times or even a smile can make a difference. Be a part of that helping hand, that smile, that something more, be a part of Feed Your Net.
